Read this shit


Alright so it's apparent that the game as of now isn't really that good as the charting is completely off, and it's really difficult to get it to be in sync with the music, mainly due to engine things, my own stupidity, and a lack of documentation on a game like this. I'm planning on changing the game's engine to gamemaker as there's an easy to use parappa framework for it that someone made. I made this game completely from scratch in the gdevelop engine, which is fairly limited in my opinion. I'm still extremely new to game development, so I'm not at the level where I can accurately recreate the mechanics of a game like parappa by myself. To quickly get this project to where it needs to be in terms of quality, I'm going to have to switch engines. The only sacrifice is that it'll no longer be 3D, but that shouldn't matter that much.
